I drove an unreliable Mini 2,300 miles across the country and took a tiny bike 70 miles farther than it deserved. If there’s a good story in it, I’m bringing a camera.

Fresh from the road

Just launched
I launched a Patreon for the stuff that doesn’t always fit on YouTube: behind-the-scenes videos, day-in-the-life stuff, gear and editing breakdowns, Q&As, and livestreams.
If you like seeing how the story gets made, come hang out. It also helps me keep chasing the bigger ideas.
The method behind the madness
I usually take a simple question and add too many steps. Somewhere in there, it turns into a video.
Driving an unreliable car across the country or taking a tiny bike way too far always sounds simple enough on paper.
Something breaks, the route changes, and I realize I have badly underestimated the whole thing.
Once the plan stops working, I have to figure it out on camera. That’s usually where the video gets good.

Behind the camera, usually in front of it
I started with cameras, everyday carry, and coffee. Eventually I cared less about reviewing the thing and more about what I could do with it.
Now I film the whole attempt, especially the part where the plan breaks. If things get difficult, I leave that in the edit too.
Between uploads
Coming later
I’m working on shirts, hats, and limited merch inspired by the videos. I’ll put the first drop here when it’s ready.
