The person behind the plan

Curious enough to try it.

I make videos about trips, challenges, and plans that sound reasonable for about five minutes. If there’s a good story in the idea, I’m probably going to try it.

The camera stays rolling when the plan falls apart.

My channel started with the stuff I already cared about: cameras, microphones, everyday carry, and coffee. After a while, I realized the best part was everything happening around the gear.

These days, the videos start with an experiment or a trip. I might buy an unreliable car, take a tiny bike farther than it should go, or give up talking for a week.

When a plan fails or a dream job gets exhausting, I leave it in. Sometimes a dumb joke ends up sitting next to something more honest than I expected.

How it got here

The gear used to be the story. Now it just comes along for the ride.

  1. Early on

I learned by obsessing over gear

My early videos were camera rigs, microphones, everyday carry, and coffee. I was learning how to make things look and sound right.

  2. The turn

    The story took over

Vlogs and smaller challenges changed what I cared about. The gear still mattered, but what happened in front of it mattered more.

  3. Now

    The plans got bigger

Now I chase the idea far enough to find out what breaks: 70 miles on a tiny bike, a week without speaking, or 2,300 miles in an unreliable Mini.
